About Me

I started off my professional career as a research student in the area of physical chemistry in Switzerland, which resulted in the award of a PhD. I then spent 3 years managing a techno-chemical enterprise in Switzerland involving polymer chemistry and rheology, with rheology being the signature tune of any person qualified in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science! I started translating German into English texts around the year 2000, and this has since evolved into something generating significant income. A long dormant interest in Russian as a foreign language kicked in with my first visit to Kiev in 2004, and I am now ordinarily resident here in Moscow. I intend on doing a long overdue Diploma in Translation with a university in the UK starting this autumn, starting with German translation, followed by Russian!
